Marketing should keep the sales force out in the streets, helping them to maximize their time and impact with the customer
Provide actionable intelligence to lead meaningful, solution-oriented customer discussions. Prepare external market place gatherings that focus on solutions that help the customer to succeed in their markets. Non-targeted, generic sales support is more of a resource drain where the attention should actually be on the customers needs. When sales forces are equipped with insights and solutions that they can readily use they are much more likely to achieve their goals.
